Our client is a leading organisation within the property development and built environment sector, delivering large-scale projects and seeking a Project Accountant to support financial control, reporting, and governance across their operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project teams, contractors, procurement, and senior stakeholders while driving accurate financial management and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting, cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Monitor project expenditure, procurement activities, and compliance with internal controls
- Partner with project teams and stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and accountability
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Completed BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience within property development, construction, or built environment is essential
- Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and financial governance
- Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills required; Power BI advantageous
- Detail-oriented, independent, and able to take ownership in a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to travel to Zimbabwe every second month for 3–5 days
