Our client is a fast-growing Fintech company based in Sandton, operating in a high-volume, high-energy environment where innovation and efficiency go hand-in-hand. They’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager who can own the receivables and credit control function end-to-end. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys improving processes and knows how to balance strong collections with excellent customer management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounts receivable & credit control functions
- Drive collections, cash flow and debtor ageing performance
- Manage customer relationships, escalations, disputes, and legal handovers
- Oversee reconciliations, cash allocations and month-end reporting
- Ensure audit readiness, compliance and strong financial controls
- Analyse reporting trends and identify risk areas proactively
- Drive process improvements, automation, and systems enhancements
- Lead, mentor and performance-manage the AR team
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Credit Management
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in credit control / accounts receivable
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing a large debtor’s book in a high-volume environment
- Strong experience with collections escalations, legal handovers and dispute resolution
- Experience with month-end reporting, reconciliations and audit support
- Advanced MS Excel skills essential
- Strong ERP systems experience (Sage, Business Central, Accpac, etc.)
- CRM / helpdesk systems experience (Zoho, Salesforce or similar)
- Strong people management skills with an energetic, action-driven personality
- Innovative thinker with a passion for process optimisation and efficiencies
