Calling on all IFRS17 experts!! A growing short-term insurance business is looking to appoint a driven and technically strong Finance Manager to support its next phase of growth. This role offers significant exposure across statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, capital management and operational finance. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
- Oversee month-end processes
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Financial Reporting
- Compile financial reports for EXCO and Board review
- Submit regulatory returns to the Prudential Authority
- Ensure compliance with SAM, SCR, ORSA and IFRS 17 requirements
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Monitor capital adequacy, solvency coverage and liquidity
- Manage premiums, claims, cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Maintain strong internal control and governance frameworks
- Identify risks, control gaps and process improvements
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Completed BCom degree in accounting or finance
- 2 to 3 years' post-articles experience within short-term insurance (Non-life insurance) essential
- Exposure to motor, property and liability classes
- Strong understanding of SAM, SCR, ORSA and regulatory reporting
- IFRS 17 experience or working knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders
- Advantageous Experience:
- Exposure to binder, UMA or outsourced insurance models
- Broker onboarding or due diligence experience
- Experience within a growing or scaling business
- Ability to operate effectively in a lean, hands-on environment
