Job Summary:
The Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land boundaries, features, and contours to support construction, engineering, and land development projects. They will have to use specialized equipment and software to collect accurate data and ensure legal property boundaries are correctly defined.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land and topographic surveys to determine property boundaries and land features
- Use surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and levels
- Prepare survey reports, maps, plats, and legal descriptions
- Analyse data using CAD software to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams
- Set out construction works (buildings, roads, infrastructure) according to design plans
- Maintain records of survey data and field notes
- Ensure all work complies with local laws and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS tools)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to operate modern surveying instruments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Experience:
- Mid-level: 3–5 years in field and office surveying
Needs to be available to start work urgently and must be a resident of Lusaka.
