The Business Development Intern will support the growth and market expansion of Oro STAR Consultancy Services by assisting in the development and execution of marketing strategies, client acquisition processes, and business development initiatives across all service clusters.
The role is designed to build a strong pipeline of institutional clients through structured market mapping, relationship building, and conversion-focused engagement.
The intern will work closely with senior leadership to translate OSCS’s service offerings into market opportunities, ensuring that the firm achieves visibility, client acquisition, and revenue growth in both local and international markets.
The Business Development Intern will be responsible for the following:
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies for all OSCS service clusters
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and sector scanning to identify opportunities
- Map and segment potential clients across government, NGOs, INGOs, donors, private sector, and development agencies
- Develop, update, and maintain a structured client database and CRM system
- Identify key decision-makers and institutional focal persons within target organizations
- Conduct telemarketing and structured outreach for lead generation and client conversion
- Follow up on leads via phone calls, emails, and digital communication platforms
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, presentations, and engagement sessions
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials for business development activities
- Support senior consultants during client meetings, workshops, and proposal presentations
- Deliver introductory presentations on OSCS services when required
- Assist in proposal writing, documentation, and submission processes
- Support promotion and marketing of team building and organizational development services, including:
- Mapping organizations with leadership, cohesion, and performance gaps
- Supporting the design and promotion of team building interventions
- Assisting in organizing workshops, retreats, and experiential learning sessions
- Documenting outcomes, lessons learned, and success stories from interventions
- Support visibility and positioning of all OSCS service clusters in local and global markets
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, leads, follow-ups, and conversions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of marketing systems and client engagement processes

- Degree or Diploma in Marketing and Sale/Business Administration

- Basic understanding of marketing, sales, and business development principles
