Trade Zone Limited is currently looking to hire an experienced Furnace Operator to be based in Lusaka.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare equipment and ensure production settings are accurate.
Monitor daily operation of machinery, adjusting settings as necessary.
Load and unload furnace.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production in log books.
Read work orders to determine work assignments.
Load molds into the pre-heat ovens for cast.
Prepare furnaces for casting.
Load metal and flux into furnaces or clay crucibles.

Requirements and skills

Grade 12 Certificate
Degree/Diploma/Certificate or any related field in Furnace operations.
2 years and Above work experience, working in a gypsum plant or other industrial setting
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
Proficiency with computers and software programs used for monitoring and controlling the plant furnace.
