Our client in Cape Town is looking for E-Commerce Content Administrator who will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, accuracy, and performance of website and online product content. The role focuses on coordinating product information, managing content workflows, and assisting with the upload and launch of products to ensure a smooth and effective online customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date product information across the website
- Upload products with correct images, descriptions, dimensions, pricing, and specifications- as well as tagging and categorisation
- Receive product information from procurement and distil it into clear, structured content briefs
- Assist the E-Commerce Content Manager with making products live once photography and copywriting are complete
- Resize, edit, and optimise images for web use (Photoshop or similar tools)
- Upload new styled and store images to relevant product pages
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure product data accuracy and consistency
- Identify errors, gaps, or opportunities to improve website content and usability
Marketing - Support the E-Commerce Content Manager with content updates for campaigns, launches, and promotions
- Ensure promotional messaging and product availability are accurately reflected on the website
- Assist with basic SEO best practices when uploading product content
- Add UTM tags to weekly mailers and online content for sales and performance tracking
- Support a smooth customer journey through accurate navigation and product presentation
Qualification:- Digital marketing qualification
Minimum Qualification: Experience: - Experience using a Shopify backend (advantageous)
- Retail or e-commerce experience
- Social media experience
- Marketing or content management exposure
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
