Human Resources Practitioner (EE)

A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Human Resources Practitioner (EE) to partner with the HR Manager in driving a positive, productive and compliant work environment. The role covers the full HR function including Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Talent Management, HR Administration and employee engagement within a unionised environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations
- Provide IR advice and support to line managers and employees
- Manage disciplinary processes and hearings
- Represent the company at CCMA/Bargaining Council
- Facilitate union meetings and maintain sound union relationships
- Ensure compliance with SA labour legislation
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process
- Ensure EE & BBBEE targets are met
- Conduct reference and background checks
- Coordinate onboarding and HRIS administration
Talent Management & Engagement
- Support performance management and 9-box grid processes
- Assist with succession planning and career pathing
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives
- Support D&I and BBBEE strategy implementation
HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records and organograms
- Update HR reports and internal systems
- Support HR projects and wellness initiatives
Requirements:
- Degree in HR Management / Industrial Relations
- 4-8 years HR Generalist experience (manufacturing or multinational advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation
- Experience representing company at CCMA/Bargaining Council
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills
