An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support database solutions aligned to business requirements.
This role requires strong technical expertise in database development, data integration, and reporting, as well as the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and interpret business requirements documentation
Compile and review technical design specifications
Develop and maintain database views, functions, user-defined types, and stored procedures
Develop reports and dashboards
Provide input into data architecture design
Develop advanced ETL processes
Create database scripts and code for testing data solutions
Compile and review systems analysis and conduct impact analysis of database solutions
Perform code reviews for database solutions
Maintain application and system documentation
Provide operational support and maintenance of application solutions
Analyse and resolve root-cause production issues and data-related problems
Define and adhere to database development standards and processes
Ensure data quality, data profiling, metadata management, and master data management
Education, Skills and Experience
Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
Minimum of three (3) years' experience developing database solutions on Microsoft SQL Server
Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above, and Windows Server 2012 and above
Minimum of three (3) years' experience writing Transact-SQL (T-SQL) code
Proficiency in XML, XSD, and JSON
Minimum of three (3) years' experience developing on the Power BI platform
Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments
