Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Theatre Qualified Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Operating Theatre team in Johannesburg. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your specialist theatre expertise while contributing to outstanding patient care within a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgery
- Perform scrub duties and assist the surgical team during procedures
- Prepare theatre equipment and maintain a safe, sterile operating environment
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey and support quality clinical outcomes
- Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Minimum Requirements:
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Post Basic Qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Operating Theatre
- Thorough knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and sterile techniques
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
