Position Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Short-Term Underwriter / Portfolio Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be organised, results-driven and detail-oriented, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-Underwrite in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
-Attend to administration and written communication
-Ensure that all documentation is processed accurately & correctly
-Ensure queries are resolved as per company standards
-Ensure renewal reviews are completed timeously
-Ensure retentions are calculated
-Ensure client claims are done according to SLA’s
Requirements:
-Matric / Grade 12
-Min 3 years Underwriting experience
-FAIS Credits (Personal lines)
-RE5 passed
-Strong knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical/professional discipline
-Very good knowledge of Policy wordings
-Registered as a representative with the FSB
-Knowledge of Insurance and outsourced systems would be advantageous
-Fluently speak, read, and write Afrikaans and English
