Our client is a manufacturing giant based in Atlantis, Cape Town, operating in a high-volume environment where precision matters just as much in finance as it does on the production line. They’re looking for an Accountant who can jump into the full finance function and become part of the operational heartbeat of the business. From stock and costings to reconciliations and reporting, you’ll work closely with finance and operational teams to keep the numbers accurate and the factory financially efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting function up to management accounts
- Prepare journals, reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Assist with stock accounting, costing and inventory controls
- Monitor production-related expenses and cost variances
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting and audit processes
- Assist with improving financial controls and operational efficiencies
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
- SAICA or SAIPA articles beneficial
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a full-function accounting role
- Manufacturing industry experience essential
- Strong understanding of stock, costing and operational finance processes
- Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
