Overview:
Our Client is seeking a Mid-Level Fitter (Trade-Tested) to join their dynamic production and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations within their manufacturing facility, which has a reputation for innovation, reliability and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out effective repairs
- Install and assemble mechanical components according to specifications
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance
Requirements:
- Trade-Tested Fitter qualification (essential)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to health and safety practices
- Team player with good communication skills
