The Role:
This is not a desk-based sales position.
You will be responsible for managing the full sales and project lifecycle, from prospecting and consultation to installation coordination and final sign-off and invoicing.
You must be equally comfortable:
- Presenting to architects, developers, builders, and homeowners.
- Conducting on-site assessments and measurements
- Managing installation timelines
- Ensuring client satisfaction at handover
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Relationship Management
- Generate and follow up on leads.
- Conduct client consultations and needs analysis.
- Present premium flooring solutions to architects, designers, developers, builders and homeowners.
- Sell on value and quality, not on price.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Technical & Site Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and accurate measurements
- Understand site preparation requirements
- Assess subfloor conditions and installation feasibility
- Provide technical guidance on product application and finishing details
- Ensure stock is ordered and available ahead of installation
- Schedule installation dates and coordinate logistics
Project Ownership
- Manage each project from sale confirmation to completion
- Liaise between client, installation teams, and management
- Ensure installations run smoothly and meet quality standards
- Oversee final sign-off with clients
- Ensure jobs are invoiced promptly upon completion
Requirements
- Proven sales track record in a similar industry (flooring, interiors, finishes, construction, or design-related products)
- Experience selling high-end or premium products
- Strong understanding of engineered hardwood flooring and its applications (preferred)
- Ability to conduct site assessments and accurate measurements
- Experience compiling quotations and cost estimations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable engaging with architects, developers, builders, and high-end clients
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven
- Professional, punctual, and well-spoken
- Valid driver's license

***Salary - R20,000.00 - R30,000.00 + Commission + Company Car + Petrol Card (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)
