We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer (PrEng./PrTech) with around 10 or more years experience to join a top firm of consulting engineers in Durban.
You will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of structural engineering projects in the Buildings services sector.
Requirements:
- BSc./ BEng./ BTech: in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professionally registered with ECSA
- Experienced in structural analysis, modeling and hand calculations, ensuring sound, code compliant, and constructible designs
- Competent in conducting and leading site inspections, assessing workmanship and issuing site instructions.
- Proven ability to take projects from concept to completion
- Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding junior engineers and technicians
- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to integrate structural design elements with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and structural modeling software, e.g. Tekla, Prokon, Robot, Masterseries.
