HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER – TAZARA PROJECT
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian candidates for the position of Human Resource Officer to support its operations under the TAZARA Project in Mpika, Muchinga Province.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Supporting the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company requirements and Zambian labour laws.
· Managing employee records, personnel files, contracts, leave, attendance, and other HR documentation.
· Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, induction, and separation processes.
· Monitoring employee attendance, time sheets, overtime, and leave records.
· Supporting payroll preparation and providing accurate employee information to the relevant departments.
· Handling employee relations matters and assisting in resolving workplace grievances and disciplinary issues.
· Ensuring compliance with the Employment Code Act and other applicable Zambian labour regulations.
· Coordinating staff welfare activities and promoting a positive working environment.
· Preparing HR reports, manpower records, and other project-related HR documentation.
· Liaising with project management and employees on HR-related matters.
· Supporting labour inspections, audits, and other statutory requirements.
· Performing any other HR duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
· A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Human Resource Management and Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in human resource management, preferably within a construction, infrastructure, engineering, or large project environment.
· Good knowledge of Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.
· Experience working with a diverse workforce, including expatriate and local employees, will be an advantage.
· Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and in a project environment.
· Willingness to be based in Mpika for the duration of the project.
