Our client is looking for a dynamic Unit Manager to take responsibility for the clinical and operational management of a Theatre Unit. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of surgical care while supporting and developing the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage theatre operations and daily patient flow.
- Provide effective clinical leadership to the nursing team.
- Ensure theatre policies, procedures, and safety standards are consistently followed.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental resources.
- Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and patient safety indicators.
- Foster effective relationships with the multidisciplinary surgical team.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with active SANC registration.
- Relevant Theatre Nursing qualification advantageous.
- Previous experience within an Operating Theatre.
- Unit management or supervisory experience.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance and infection prevention.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
