SUMMARY
As a Support Resource Officer (Dispatcher), you will be responsible for coordinating emergency response vehicles through a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to ensure swift and efficient assistance to incidents.
You will also support the contact centre by receiving, logging, and prioritising both emergency and non-emergency calls-ensuring the right level of care is delivered at the right time.

Duties
- Dispatch emergency vehicles in line with CAD system protocols
- Receive, assess, and prioritise incoming calls
- Log and coordinate incident alerts accurately and efficiently
- Assist with contact centre administrative duties
- Maintain clear and precise communication in high-pressure situations
- Ensure accurate data capturing at all times
Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Experience in a Contact Centre or Emergency Contact Centre environment
- Willing to work shifts
Advantageous:
- BAA / Level 3 First Aid Certification
- 1-3 years' experience in EMS dispatching
Skills & Competencies
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of dispatch systems and vehicle coordination
- Understanding of emergency care environments
- Excellent typing speed and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication (English)
- Good geographical knowledge
- Professional telephone and email etiquette
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
