An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Clerk Supervisor (12 months contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Process remunerative allowances, salary deductions and employee payments accurately and on time
- Administer travel and subsistence claims and advances on BAS and PERSAL
- Reconcile and clear account balances in line with Treasury Regulations
- Process transfer and miscellaneous payments efficiently
- Verify supplier banking details on the relevant systems
- Maintain accurate filing and record keeping of salary and financial reports
- Assist with project funding assessments and reporting for financial statements
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a financial environment plus Degree in Finance or equivalent
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Sound understanding of PERSAL and BAS systems
- Knowledge of accounting policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
- Computer literacy and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and within a team
