Role purpose
Responsible for managing all inbound sales activities, processing customer orders, generating quotations, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting the external sales and factory teams to ensure excellent service delivery. This role requires strong communication, accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach to drive internal sales efficiency and support business growth.
Duties
- Handle internal calls and email orders from all regions, ensuring customer needs are clarified and met efficiently
- Process orders by generating accurate picking slips for the warehouse and order instructions for the factory
- Manage customer queries by liaising with relevant internal departments and providing timely feedback to clients
- Conduct cold-calling to attract new customers and identify new business opportunities
- Utilise referrals to build a stronger customer base and support revenue growth
- Follow up on quotations to convert enquiries into sales
- Formulate accurate quotations
- Maintain records, filing, and general administrative tasks to ensure accurate documentation and easy retrieval
- Compile and send export orders, including obtaining transport quotations and preparing invoicing for transport charges
- Ensure all COD and export payments are received before order release, maintaining zero outstanding payments
- Communicate with the factory daily to ensure timely product delivery
- Liaise with couriers and transporters to obtain quotes and coordinate dispatch or collection arrangements
