Role Description
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our virtual team. This role is designed for students or recent graduates eager to learn the fundamentals of sales, lead generation, and client relationship management in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients/leads via newspapers, TV and Radio adverts, yellows pages, online platforms, and industry databases.
- Outreach: Execute high-volume outbound outreach, including cold calling, emailing, and messaging potential customers.
- CRM Management: Utilize CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) or your own workbook(diary) to track, update, and manage leads, interactions, and sales pipelines.
- Customer Interaction: Assist in converting inbound inquiries into meetings or bookings by educating prospects on product/service offerings.
- Sales Support: Assist sales executives with preparing pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Reporting: Track daily/weekly sales metrics and prepare performance reports.
- Training & Participation: Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and role-play workshops to sharpen sales skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualification: Qualification in any field but business and marketing is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, telecalling, or customer service is a plus, but not required—strong motivation to learn is prioritized.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams).
- Attributes: Highly organized, proactive, comfortable with cold calling, and resilient.
- Environment: Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Availability: Ability to dedicate at least 10-30 hours per week (often required to align with specified target goals).
