Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Overhead Crane Operators to handle lifting and movement of materials within a manufacturing plant. The role requires safety awareness, precision, and the ability to work in a fast paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials
- Load and offload steel products, raw materials, and equipment
- Follow lifting plans and supervisor instructions
- Conduct daily crane inspections and report faults
- Ensure safe rigging and proper use of lifting accessories
- Maintain clear communication with ground personnel
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Assist with general yard or plant operations when required
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Valid Overhead Crane Operator certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience operating overhead cranes, preferably in manufacturing or steel industry
- Good understanding of lifting safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to work shifts
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- Good communication skills
