Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join their Logistics team in Paarl (Western Cape). Preference will be given to candidates from the agricultural sector.
Key Requirements:- Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- At least two years’ relevant experience within the agriculture sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Solid understanding of stock management systems.
- Strong communication skills.
Job Description:- Import all stock into the system accurately and within the required timeframe to ensure timely availability of data for operations.
- Reconcile system stock against physical stock at cold stores.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies from reconciliation.
- Handle stock-related queries promptly.
- Book sample and/or marketing pallets as requested.
- Perform daily checks on overall stock to ensure there are no inconsistencies.
- Process mates data, including calculating weights and linking pallet details with container and vessel.
- Generate shipment documentation and send to freight forwarders.
- Manage Paltrack registrations for fresh produce suppliers.
- Maintain masterdata on systems.
- Ensure effective and efficient communication with packhouses to support smooth operations.
- Prioritise tasks effectively, multitask, and maintain accuracy under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
