Our client is recruiting for a Financial Manager: Shared Services to join their successful team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Shared Services department. This includes managing a team of employees across various functional areas and ensuring that the department provides high-quality, efficient and cost-effective services to the operational divisions within the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Shared Services department, including financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Liaising with the operational divisions to understand their needs and requirements and ensure that services are delivered in a timely and effective manner
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations of the shared services department
- Overseeing the development and implementation of appropriate systems and processes to support the delivery of services
- Monitoring service levels and ensuring that they meet or exceed agreed upon targets
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings
- Managing and motivating a team, including performance management, career development, and training etc.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring the provision of accurate and timely reports on departmental performance to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations,
and organisational policies
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Post-graduate qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a large shared services environment, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives
