Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end recruitment process (job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding).
- Maintain and update job descriptions and specifications.
Liaise with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
Employee Relations
Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and grievances in line with company policies.
Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement initiatives.
HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and personnel files.
- Prepare HR-related reports (headcount, turnover, absenteeism).
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Performance Management
Support the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
- Assist managers in setting objectives and monitoring employee performance.
Track and report on performance review cycles.
Training and Development
Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs.
- Maintain training records and evaluate effectiveness of programs.
Support career development initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
Administer payroll inputs and liaise with finance/payroll teams.
- Manage employee benefits programs and respond to related queries.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (tax, pension, medical aid).
Compliance and Policy
Ensure adherence to labor legislation and internal HR policies.
- Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and procedures.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety, and Well-being
Support health and safety initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments.
