Go Africa Academy Launches to Make Career-Focused Learning More Accessible Across Africa

Published on August 7

New learning platform launches with 100+ online courses, 600+ video lessons and free access to learning, backed by the team behind Go Zambia Jobs.

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA, August 2026 - Go Africa Academy, a new online learning platform focused on practical skills, employability and career development, has officially launched.

Built around the idea of "Learn. Earn. Grow.", Go Africa Academy has been created to make career-focused learning more accessible to people across Africa.

The platform launches with more than 100 online courses and 600 video lessons, giving learners the opportunity to develop new skills online, learn at their own pace and earn certificates recognising their achievements.

Learners can open an account and start learning for free, reducing one of the biggest barriers to professional development: the upfront cost of accessing education and training.

Go Africa Academy's wider mission is captured in its launch message:

Skills That Unlock Opportunities.

The platform has been launched in partnership with the team behind Go Zambia Jobs, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026.

Having spent 15 years connecting people with employment opportunities, the team identified an opportunity to address another part of the employment journey: helping people develop the skills required to progress their careers and compete for those opportunities.

A spokesperson for Go Africa Academy said:

"There is extraordinary ambition and talent across Africa. Access to practical, affordable learning should not be what holds people back.
We want someone to be able to discover a skill they need, start learning immediately and build tangible evidence of what they've achieved.
Our ambition for Go Africa Academy goes beyond simply creating a catalogue of online courses. We want to build a platform that connects learning with real career progression."

Alongside its course library, certificates will form an important part of the Go Africa Academy experience, allowing learners to demonstrate the skills and courses they have completed.

The platform's longer-term vision is to develop this further through verifiable credentials, public learner profiles and stronger connections between learners and employers, creating an ecosystem where acquiring a skill can translate more directly into career opportunities.

Go Africa Academy will initially benefit from the reach and established community of Go Zambia Jobs, while being developed as a standalone brand capable of expanding across the African continent.

The launch is the beginning of a broader roadmap, with additional courses, platform functionality and career-focused features planned as the learning community grows.

Go Africa Academy is now live at goafricaacademy.com. Users can create an account and start learning for free.
